ABOUT ME

I am assistant professor in Global China at the Department of Political Science, Université Laval (Québec, Canada). Previously, I worked as postdoctoral researcher in the TransOceanic Fishers project at Chr. Michelsen Institute (Bergen, Norway).

As a political ethnographer, I am mainly interested in South-South relations, politics of development, maritime anthropology, bureaucracy & everyday state, peacebuilding, and infrastructure with geographical focus on Africa and China.

I completed my DPhil in Politics & International Studies at SOAS, University of London. I hold a MRes in Territories, Spaces & Societies from EHESS-Paris, a MA in Peace and Conflict Studies from Uppsala University, and an advanced diploma in Yoruba language from INALCO.
